ART021 HONG KONG CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR

ART021 is one of the most influential art fairs in Asia, and the flagship ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair was founded in 2013. Over the past 10 years, the Group has organised art fairs in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen, garnering around 300 galleries across the year. A brand-new art fair, ART021 HONG KONG, will make its debut this August in Hong Kong, in a new form that combines an art fair and biennale-like exhibitions. It will showcase more than 60 galleries from 13 countries, bringing outstanding works including modern and contemporary paintings, ink paintings, sculptures, installations, and digital art. This event presents a great opportunity to engage with the diverse cultures of Asia and to appreciate the creations of renowned artists and emerging talents. Additionally, a public art exhibition in Victoria Park will showcase sculptures by acclaimed contemporary artists. The carefully selected works complement the surrounding natural environment and are accessible to the public free of charge.

ART021 HONG KONG will be held across four venues, in addition, the Greater Bay Area Art Week (GBA ART WEEK) with more than 20 galleries and institutions in Hong Kong and surrounding cities will unveil exhibitions at the same time, fostering an art celebration leading up to the fall art season.

The following sections will require tickets:

l  GALLERIES at the Phillips Asia Headquarters: local and international galleries present exceptional artworks by well-known and emerging artists.

l  EXPANSION at the Fringe Club: presents several unique conceptual art projects and live performances.

l  VIDEOS at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center: showcases more than 20 art films and cutting-edge video artworks. The screening schedule will be announced in early August.

ART021 HONG KONG also offers a free-entry section for:

l  SCULPTURES, providing the public with opportunities to explore and interact with contemporary art installations outdoors.
