Bethanie Museum (November 2024)
Béthanie, an 1875 French Mission Sanatorium at Pokfulam, has been lovingly restored as the home of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts’ School of Film and Television. This remarkable architectural gem is a unique setting for special occasions.
Béthanie Museum, which tells the history of the French Mission, Béthanie and its sister foundation Nazareth, is open to the public. Museum ticket holders will be provided with a complimentary guided tour of this historic site (n.b. tour itinerary is subject to venue availability). Advance bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Standard routing will take visitors to:
1) Béthanie Theatre: converted from two former Dairy Farm octagonal cowsheds;
2) Béthanie chapel: with reinstatement of the original items such as stained glass windows, altar and statues;
3) Sir Y K Pao Studio: with its stunning views of the Lamma Channel and the Peak. Some areas may be closed at certain times due to pre-booked activities. Tour language is Cantonese. Please refer to the schedule listed at the table above under "Date & Time".
