Don’t miss the final month of “The Adorned Body” special exhibition
The special exhibition “The Adorned Body: French Fashion and Jewellery 1770–1910 from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris”, currently on display in the HKPM’s Gallery 9, will conclude on 14 October. As one of the four major exhibitions in the West Kowloon Cultural District to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, this marks the first time the prestigious Paris museum’s comprehensive collection of historical French fashionwear has been on display in Asia. The exhibition highlights fascinating stories about the evolution of fashion in France and the dynamic interplay of cultures that have shaped it. With the exhibition entering its final stage, visitors are encouraged to seize the final chance to experience the magnificence of nearly 400 stunning items of clothing, pieces of jewellery, and accessories dating from the late 18th to the early 20th century. The audio guide for “The Adorned Body” is narrated by acclaimed singer and fashion icon Karen Mok in English, Cantonese and Putonghua. Karen will guide the global audience through these precious exhibits before they return to France.
